During the third France–Qatar Strategic Dialogue held in Paris on June 12, 2025, both countries reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in key innovation and technology sectors, with intellectual property (IP) emerging as a core area of focus.

Qatar’s previously announced €10 billion investment plan in the French economy includes targeted support for sectors such as the digital economy, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and intellectual property. Both sides discussed ways to further develop this investment roadmap in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030 and France 2030.

The discussions also emphasized collaboration between research institutions and innovation councils from both countries, including joint initiatives under the Qatar Open Innovation Scheme. French companies have received innovation awards and are currently working with Qatari SMEs to develop IP-backed solutions in fields such as agricultural technology and medical healthcare.

This renewed strategic partnership reflects the growing importance both countries place on innovation-driven growth and IP as a lever for economic development and technological leadership.
