The Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the State of Qatar has entered into an agreement with the Ministry of Intellectual Property of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Intellectual Property Strategy Agency (KIPSA) to develop a comprehensive national intellectual property strategy.
Under the agreement, KIPSA will support Qatar in assessing the current IP environment and developing a strategic framework that includes a long-term vision, defined objectives, priority areas, and performance indicators. The initiative forms part of Qatar’s broader efforts to strengthen its IP ecosystem and support innovation-driven economic growth.
The project aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the objectives of the Third National Development Strategy, reflecting a policy-level commitment to integrating intellectual property into competitiveness, innovation, and knowledge-based development.
