The government of Yemen set a national five-year plan for development to introduce Integrated Pest Management; with one of the requirements relating to the registration of trademarks in class 5. The Yemeni General Administration for Plant Protection will not approve any pesticide in the market place without the submission of a valid local registration certificate of the corresponding mark. The General Administration will prohibit product exportation for those who break the regulation. The IPM also aims to restrict the use of pesticides and completely ban illegal chemicals. The plan, having commenced in 2011, aims to conclude in 2015. Should you have any specific inquiries regarding the subject matter, please contact us at info@sabaip.com.
