The list of goods and services in Libya has been revised pursuant to Ministerial Resolution no. 316, issued on May 7, 2009. The major updates involve classes 10 and 28, as set forth below:

– The item “veterinary apparatus and instruments” was added to class 10. This item was not included in the previous list.
– The item “decorations for Christmas trees and related products” was removed from class 28.

It is worth noting that Libya currently follows the 8th edition of the Nice Classification which means that legal services can be filed in the country in class 42 and not in class 45. Also, class 33 and alcoholic goods in class 32 (alcoholic beverages (except beers)) can not be registered in the country.

The Resolution is deemed effective as of its date of issuance.
