Iraq: Revised Classification

The Iraqi Trademark Office has recently revised its local sub-classification of goods and services with updates mainly involving class headings 35 and 42. Class 35 was revised by merging sub-classes 35-b and 35-c into one sub-class 35-b (business management; business administration). Also, a new sub-class, 42-i (security service for the protection of property and individuals; personal and social services rendered by others to meet the needs of individuals) was added to class 42.

d. Veterinary; agricultural services, horticulture and forestry services.
e. Legal services.
f. Scientific and technological services and research and design relating thereto, industrial analysis and research services.
g. Design and development of computer hardware and software.
h. Goods or services that can not be placed in other classes
i. Security services for the protection of property and individuals; personal and social services rendered by others to meet the needs of individuals
