The Libyan Trademark Office, which had temporarily suspended acceptance of trademark applications due to its administrative transfer to the Commercial Registry, has officially resumed operations as of August 10, 2025.

Although no formal written confirmation has been issued, applications are now being accepted and processed. Some delays are anticipated while the TMO clears the backlog of filings that accumulated during the suspension period. Importantly, applications that were due during the suspension are not considered forfeited and are being processed in the normal course.

Saba IP has already submitted applications on behalf of its clients and continues to monitor the situation closely.
