EXAMINATION

Not possible for filing oppositions, counter oppositions, and responding to office actions
PROTECTION TERM
10 years from filing date and renewable for like periods
USE
Vulnerable to cancellation by any interested party if there has been no effective use of the mark within the 5 years preceding the date of filing for cancellation.

Filing Requirements
• POA with Apostille certification
• Copy of certificate of home or any foreign application or registration, with an Apostille certification; or certificate of incorporation, with an Apostille certification; or certificate from the chamber of commerce indicating the nature of business, with an Apostille certification
• Copy of priority document, if priority is claimed, certified
