Investigator - Bahrain Office

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Spot and investigate cases of counterfeiting
  • Build and manage a network of informants in the market place
  • Identify and investigate prospect targets of traders in counterfeit products
  • Handle cases reported to us by our clients or by the authorities
  • Report and help manage such cases, following the firm’s anti-counterfeiting practices
  • Follow up and build good connections with the various officials/inspectors at the various authorities
  • Work with authorities in executing and applying all anti-counterfeiting measures   
  • Keep an eye on the anti-counterfeiting environment and report internally any changes in the landscape especially new procedures or new formalities etc…
  • Follow up on existing and future anti-counterfeiting files up till they are fully closed with the relevant authorities

 Skills/Qualifications:

  • University graduate or at least a holder of high school/secondary school qualification or equivalent
  • 2-3 years in a similar capacity in an IP firm, or relevant experience gained in a local authority such as law enforcement, consumer protection, customs etc…
  • Basic knowledge of brands, brands protection, and customs laws etc…
  • Good knowledge of local market
  • Proven knowledge of and relationship with relevant local authorities law enforcement, consumer protection, customs
  • Ability to establish relationship with key people within these local authorities and markets
  • Good command of both English and Arabic
  • Acceptable level of office application use (Outlook, Word,)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail
  • Social media knowledge is a plus
